  Academic Training and Co-curricular Activities.

S.H.Nursing School is a residential school, close to Pushpa Mission Hospital. The students are given good professional training, with opportunities for practise in multi-facilitated hospital. They get practise in maternity departments, surgical assistance, Paediatrics etc. Apart from these academic training they are involved in community health training as they are sent to different villages to give health education to the illiterate poor villagers. They are also helping for immunisation and health education for different kinds of illness in the villages.

Students are also actively involved in Church activities. Catholic students are given opportunities for attending daily Mass. There is common prayer in the hostel daily. The students stage various programmes in Pushpa hospital, Kripa Social Welfare centre and in the Parish on important National and Religious days, like Independence Day, Christmas, Parish Day etc.

The school got NOC from the state government on 18th February 2008, recognition from Indian Nursing Council (INC) on 12th August 2008 and permission from State Nursing Council on February 2009. The students have two years of regular training and one-year bond service.  The first batch of students had been completed the course on 30th September 2008 with meritorious results. The students secured 1st, 4th, 9th and 11th ranks. Right now the 8 batch of 40 students from various states of India are admitted.

Mostly girls from poor and mediocre families are benefited by this institute. The well-organized professional training they get from here enables them to serve the society in a better way, to earn for their own living and to support their families. Thus, the charism of Sacred Heart Congregation- to stand for the upliftment of the downtrodden- in one way or another becomes a reality through this.
